Northern Lights Wolf Sanctuary

Check out this place if you live or visit anywhere NEAR Golden, BC. Very cool experience. You meet the 14 wolves that have been sheltered here since birth and walk in the wilderness with a few of them. We got to hike with Scrappy Dave (beige, 18 months old) and Maya (grey, 13 years old) for a couple hours and they were fantastic. Here are a couple shots that I'm pretty fond of....

Salt Spring Island

What a great little island! Tons of little goat farms, homemade soaps and organic food, cozy artist coves tucked away in the forest..... We channeled our inner wanna-be-rebels and rented bad-ass scooters, just puttered around all day... Mom and Dad were pretty happy.

Hunting down Nanaimo Bars in Nanaimo

Next up... A fantastic B&B on Long Lake in Nanaimo....

We finally ended up finding a deep-fried Nanaimo bar at Pirate Chips in Nanaimo. It was actually pretty good, even though it probably shortened our lives by a couple months...

Lots of tail in Tofino

We stayed at another awesome B&B near Victoria.... Had a show of eagles soaring in the sky right in front of our patio. This one was being chased by crows, for defending its own nest against the predators.

Next up, a trip to Ucluelet and Tofino, to see some grey whales.

There were also a ton of eagles on the island, although our guide told us they were pests and considered a nuisance. Couldn't believe how close we got to this one.

Next up, Victoria !

We found Victoria to be a beautiful city, visited Butchart Gardens....

Also had lunch near some very cool floating houses at the Victoria harbourfront...

Woohoo, Wine Country!

We started out in the Okanagan Valley in PENTICTON..
                                       ...at the Fox Ben Vineyards Guesthouse...
Lots of great wines, beautiful temps (up to 42 degrees one day!) and time to CHILL OUT!
